Manufacturing

Bamni Proteins Ltd. has its manufacturing facilities at Bamni, Chandrapur District, Maharashtra, India. BPL started manufacturing Ossein and Dicalcium Phosphate from crushed animal bones under new management in February 1998.

The Technology

The manufacture of Ossein & Dicalcium Phosphate is based on the technology provided by our parent organisation M/s. Nitta Gelatin India Ltd, Kochi.

The Customer

The Products & Process

At BPL, Ossein and Dicalcium Phosphate are manufactured from crushed animal bones. BPL has an installed annual capacity to manufacture 2400 MT of Ossein and 5400 MT of Dicalcium Phosphate. The manufacturing process involves leaching of crushed bones in Hydrochloric acid to separate the organic and inorganic portion in bones. The Organic matter is called Ossein.The Ossein after washing and neutralisation is dried and packed. It is exported to Japan. The inorganic portion constitute mainly minerals Calcium and Phosphorous. The inorganic portion dissolves in Hydrochloric acid to form Mono Calcium Phosphate. Mono Calcium Phosphate is treated with lime to produce Dicalcium Phosphate. The Dicalcium Phosphate after washing is filtered dried and packed. Dicalcium Phosphate is mainly used as additive in poultry feed.
